The most popular dive program in the world, this course is the first full license level that will allow you to dive with a buddy, without the supervision of an instructor to a maximum depth of 18m, anywhere in the world.
If you already tried the Discover Scuba Diving program, then this is the next step you want to take to continue exploring the world under the waves.
To enroll in a PADI Open Water Diver course (or Junior Open Water Diver course), you must be 10 years old or older. You need adequate swimming skills and need to be in good physical health. No prior experience with scuba diving is required.
The course can be completed in 4-5 days depending on the student’s ability to demonstrate mastery of the skills.
The PADI Open Water Course takes place in the classroom or at your home for the theoretical part: Knowledge Development online, independent study or in a classroom, and in the water: Confined Water Dives to learn basic scuba skills and Open Water dives. After you master the skills (which are conducted in confined water environment), we will continue with 4 open water dives, two of which will be at a maximum depth of 12m and two at maximum depth of 18m. This will be your maximum depth until further training is completed (10/11 yr olds limited to 12m). The kids younger than 15 years of age, will receive Junior Open Water rating.
In addition to the printed studying manual, the materials are available in digital version so you can study home at your own pace, before arriving at our dive center or use your tablet or phone to read while you relax at the beach, if you do not have enough time to spend with us in the classroom.
So if you prefer this method of studying, eLearning and Touch and the perfect choice.
